Positives from Newton Abbot

After Y A Bon's win at Newton Abbot I took two lovely horses there for their meeting on the 19th May.

We went there with high hopes of victory as Winged Express had run tremendously well at Southwell earlier in the week at Southwell when only finding a very well handicapped horse of Tim Vaughan's, Bennachie, too good for him but that day he pulled a long way clear of the other runners. Winged Express once again ran with immense credit to finish second again at Newton Abbot. He travelled through the race very well and but for a small mistake at the final flight of hurdles he may well have been victorious. Nevertheless we were thrilled with his run and I am sure he will be passing the post in front shortly. Winged Express is also for sale, for more information on him look on the For Sale page or E-Mail alex@alexandradunnracing.com

My second runner of the day was Blu Cavalier who was making his racecourse debut in the colours of Mr&Mrs Tinknell. He was given a beautiful ride by Conor O Farrell and gradually made up ground throught the race and finished fourth which was a fantastic start to his racing career. Blu Cavalier would have learnt a lot from that run and hopefully he has a promising racing career ahead of him.

Both horses have come out of their respective races well and I will wait a few weeks before deciding on plans for them.
