Weekly Update 01.12.15

BN padd Ling Nov 15I have had another enjoyable week and my first runner last week was Black Narcissus (pictured here in the paddock), she made her seasonal re appearance at Lingfield on Tuesday and before the race I was hopeful she would run well as her work at home had been pleasing in the build up to the race. The most impressive aspect of the race was her excellent jumping; it was superb for a horse making her debut over fences against more experienced horses. Rhys Flint was very positive about her run after the race and was confident she would pay her way this season for the ‘Team Dunn’ syndicate. It is likely she will be entered again next week at Fontwell, and there are still shares available in her at a very competitive rate. For more information on shares in her please visit my For Sale page or online shop.
On the subject of Fontwell, they raced there last Wednesday and I saddled two runners who both ran well. Entry To Evrywhere made his chase debut and seasonal re appearance after a lengthy break. Like Black Narcissus I was pleased with the way he jumped and also satisfied with the way he finished off his race in testing ground. It was a good starting point for the season and he can only improve from that. Double Dan, ridden by Mikey Hamill also showed up positively and second was a good result and he should continue to pay his way for the Horse or Divorce syndicate.
I was pleased with the way the horses ran last week and thankfully that has continued this week with Zero Visibility scoring impressively yesterday (Monday) at Plumpton under a well judged front running ride from Adam Wedge. His victory will please his part owner Delwyn Fitzgerald as unfortunately he was unable to make the journey to Plumpton but I know he’d have been over the moon to see Zero Visibility win and hopefully it’s the start of a very productive season for the horse.
Looking ahead to the coming week I have made plenty of entries. Helium, who runs for the West Buckland Racing Club is likely to take his chance at Ludlow on Wednesday. He is run very well at the track winning a pair of lower grade races and life is now tougher up in grade for him but the Prize Money is very good and Helium remains in top form at home so hopefully he can run well again.
Dave Arthur, who manages the West Buckland Racing Club, has shares in Teachmetobouggie and Hoy Hoy who are both entered this week. Hoy Hoy will most likely head to Wolverhampton where I have booked Megan Nicholls for the ride and Teachmetobouggie is entered at Chepstow on Saturday and there is every possibility he will take his chance there.
Also holding entries this week are Honourable Exit, Spring Steel, Royal Chief and Lough Derg Island. Plans are fluid at the moment and after talking to their respective owners I’ll make a decision regards running plans then.
I’ll post another blog later in the week hopefully reflecting on some more winners and some pictures of the horses schooling.
Alex.
