Weekly Update 08.12.2015

I have been very busy over the last few days with a day at the sales at Ascot yesterday and I am now on my way back from Fontwell with Zero Visibility and Mystery Drama.

Zero Visibility won at Plumpton last Monday over hurdles and I decided to let him take his chance at Fontwell today. Everything was going to plan until he unfortunately fell at the final fence with the race at his mercy, it is obviously frustrating that he didn’t win but the main thing is both Zero Visibility and Adam Wedge emerged unscathed.

Yesterday I was at Ascot sales where Something Exciting, Sky Rose and Double Dan were all sold.
Tom and I purchased Lot 93, Tactical Manoeuvre from the Willie Codd yard. He is a gorgeous looking son of Marienbad who would have scored on his latest start but fell at the last fence. Tactical Manoeuvre is a mature horse who is for sale to stay in the yard. I will post some pictures and more information about him shortly and further details will be on the For Sale page of the website.

On Sunday afternoon we welcomed a lovely 3yo to the yard who is a Presenting half brother to Blu Cavalier. All I can tell you about him at the moment is he is a lovely looking horse and I am looking forward to training him very much.

Obviously last week started in superb fashion with Zero Visibility winning, I was equally proud of Helium who ran at Ludlow on Wednesday, he was a creditable third off a career high mark under Rhys Flint. He has come out of the race in fine fashion and once again gave the members of the West Buckland Racing Club a superb day out. Helium is likely to return to Ludlow next week for a valuable contest and there are still places left in the West Buckland Racing Club, it would provide a superb early Christmas Present. There is more information on how to join the Club and the horses involved here.

I must also mention Beau Knight who is For Sale to stay in the yard and he is jumping superbly. Beau Knight has really adapted quickly. This is a positive sign and he ready to run and is For Sale to stay in the yard. There is more information on him and other horses for sale in the yard on the For Sale page.

There is more news from the yard in my weekly column in the Racing and Football Outlook which is on sale today.

I’ll be back shortly with another update.

Alex.
