We have a busy day ahead of us today with 5 runners spread across two meetings, Stratford and Taunton. Below are my thoughts today’s runners.
David John takes his chance in the 2.10 the Bhest Racing To Schools Juvenile Hurdle. David John was fourth on his debut in a bumper at Exeter which was an excellent run but disappointed me a little on his hurdling debut at Chepstow and hopefully that initial experience will have brought him on and he’ll fair better today.
Chemistry Master is my second runner at Stratford in the 3.40, Warwickshire And Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Handicap Hurdle. He is new to the yard and we haven’t had him long and we are still learning about him so today will tell us a lot more. Adam Wedge rides.
Prince Tom is the first of our three runners at Taunton. He runs in the 3.50 Bathwick Tyres Handicap Chase over 3m5f. This is the first time he has tried this trip for me but he has run well over long distances in the past so I would be hopeful of a good run as long as the ground isn’t too soft for him. Conor O’Farrell rides him.
Worldor goes in the 4.20 Evergreen Landscaping And Tree Surgery Handicap Hurdle; he has been disappointing since he won a handicap under Adam Wedge just after Christmas. I am hoping a return to Taunton will see a more positive display from him. Rhys Flint takes the ride on him.
Weston Super Mare makes her racecourse debut in the 5.20 Chepstow Racecourse Staff Away Day Mares' Standard Open Nationalhunt Flat race, she has been pleasing me a home and Is ready to run. How she fares today will tell us a lot more about her and where to go in the future. Conor O’ Farrell rides her.
