Come on Annie bounced back to form in tremendous style at Chepstow on Friday with a wide margin success on her fourth start over fences. She was very well handicapped over fences off 105 compared to her hurdle rating of 118 but for some reason she has never shown any form over fences. However she left those poorer runs behind her and jumped beautifully under Conor O Farrell and cruised clear on the bridle. I am not sure what the form of the race will amount to but I am over the moon ‘Annie’ is back on track and hopefully it’s onwards and upwards for her from now on.
It was great day for ‘Annie’ and her owner Ann Trotman who has placed a lot of faith in me by sending me the horse and she has now won 3 hurdles and a chase since I have trained her. I haven’t got a plan going forward with her; I may have to run her quickly under a penalty if I can find a suitable race but it wouldn’t phase me either way as she is a promising mare who could still be improving.
