Bleu Astral (pictured in the paddock pre race) made the return trip to Ffos Las 9 days after breaking his maiden tag by 11 lengths under Cam Hardie. Sadly Cam was unable to take the ride this time round as he had been claimed by Richard Hannon to ride at Goodwood but George Baker who has ridden for me before was booked for the ride. George gave ‘Bleu’ a beautiful ride and he made smooth headway to lead over a furlong out and drew away to win by more than 3 lengths at the line. After the race George was effusive in his praise for the horse and was keen to keep the ride in future. This second win for Bleu Astral maintained the 100% record of the West Buckland Racing Club who have three horses in training at the moment and the club is tremendously managed by Dave Arthur. There are still spaces left to join the West Buckland Racing Club; for more information and how to join please follow the link below.
