We had another tremendous day at Stratford races with Nikos Extra winning again in my Grandmother's colours. I thought it was a tougher race than the one he scored in at Bangor but he was fit and very well at home so we went there hopeful. Thankfully he obliged under a super ride from Adam Wedge and netted some nice prize money as well. It's wonderful to win races for my Grandmother who has supported me through the early stages of my training career so to win such a nice race and pirze money is very pleasing.
Nikos has come out of the race well and plans remain fluid with him; we had the option of running him under a penalty at Newton Abbot but I felt the race would have come to soon. The horse will let us know when he is ready for his next run and I will post another update when plans are firmed up with him and some of my other horses.
