TEAM DUNN MAKE A TOAST TO BLACK NARCISSUS

Team Dunn is the syndicate who own Black Narcissus and what a tremendous time she has given them over the last few months with wins at Plumpton and Towcester as well as a placed effort at Lingfield.

After her superb and effortless win at Towcester last week we invited all the members of Team Dunn to the yard to catch up with the hero Black Narcissus and enjoy some well-deserved champagne.

Here she is with all the members of Team Dunn and more importantly their glasses of Champagne!

Black Narcissus has had a fabulous season, over the summer the decision was made to send her over fences and from the first time she schooled we knew she was going to be a better horse over fences. She made her chasing debut at Lingfield in a 7 runner Handicap Chase and jumped superbly in the testing ground and ran well to finish third.

She then improved on that effort to score at Plumpton, things didn’t go her way in the race but her good jumping kept her in contention and she took advantage of the leader falling at the last to score. The handicapper left her mark unchanged on 93 after that and she took her chance in a 0-110 chase at Towcester. She scored in that race by 12 lengths and Rhys Flint, who has ridden her in all her starts over fences was very impressed with the performance. She has been raised 7lb’s by the handicapper to a mark of 100.

Black Narcissus holds entries at Chepstow, Taunton, Fontwell and over hurdles at Leicester this week. With there being so many meetings under threat I was keen to have her well entered up as she handles testing ground very well. She is in fine form after her Towcester victory and I’ll study the races and the weather forecast and decide which the most suitable opportunity is for her.

Black Narcissus still has shares available in her and we have held the share price of £1,000 per share despite her two victories this season. I am sure there are plenty of people who have often thought of having a racehorse or even a share in one.
