I have been pleased with the way my horses have been running recently and Sky Rose (pictured) started her hurdling career in positive fashion. She jumped professionally on the whole and kept on nicely to finish in fourth place. Conor O Farrell who rode her
was very positive after the race and hopefully she will be capable of improving on her fourth place on her next start. There are a couple options for her in the next few weeks and she is one to keep an eye on. She is for sale as well and there is lots more information and pictures of her on the For Sale page of the website.
Another horse who has made a pleasing start to her season was Black Narcissus, she made her seasonal reappearance today (Tuesday) at Lingfield. It was her first run over fences but her jumping was impeccable and she ran a superb race to finish third. She held every chance until the final furlong but I was absolutely delighted with her run as was her rider Rhys Flint. Rhys also commented on how well she jumped for her first run over fences and he is already looking forward to her next start!!
Black Narcissus runs in the colours of Team Dunn and she has plenty of enthusiastic owners and in all eight owners made the trip to Lingfield to watch her run. Black Narcissus has 16 shares and there are still a small number of shares remaining in her; there is plenty of information about the syndicate on my for sale page and shares are available to purchase through the newly created shop.
The week has started in positive fashion and hopefully it will continue that way as I have a few entries for the week.
Tomorrow ( Wednesday) I have declared Entry to Evrywhere and Double Dan at Fontwell. Entry To Evrywhere. This will be his first run for well over a year and Rhys Flint will take the ride and hopefully he will enjoy his first run over fences. He has done lots of work at home but as is the case with most horses after a lengthy absence he will improve for the run.
Double Dan is the mount of Mikey Hamill, dropping back in trip, there is only three other opponents so hopefully he will be able to gain some prize money.
At Taunton on Thursday Winged Express holds An entry in the opening handicap hurdle. Ian Popham came into to school him earlier in the week. Mystery Drama, Honourable Exit and Double Dan also hold entries at Taunton.
Teachmetobouggie could run at Doncaster on Friday and he is in good form at home. Looking ahead to next week Zero Visibility could make his seasonal re appearance at Plumpton. Both horses were due to run at Ffos Las last week but sadly that meeting succumbed to the heavy rain.
As I have mentioned in previous blogs I think racing clubs are a tremendous way for new owners to come into the sport and the West Buckland Racing Club’s Helium has been a star this season. He has had an easy week after his four quick runs and it’s likely he will head to Ludlow again where the Prize Money is tremendous.
