Black Narcissus Wins Again.

Black Narcissus Wins Again.

Yesterday we had a good day at Towcester ,Winged Express finished a creditable second. He ran a fine race to finish second especially as it was his second start in a short period of time and Towcester in Heavy ground is a very testing track. Nevertheless I was pleased with the run.

Bnarc winning @ TowcBlack Narcissus (pictured cruising clear under Rhys Flint) was the star of the show winning impressively under Rhys Flint. She won very impressively and I was particularly impressed she was able to back up her win in a 0-110 having won a 0-100 contest last time. Going forward with her she held entries at Wincanton and Ffos Las but both of those meetings have been washed away so I’ll have to sit down and look at the programme book. She is defiantly a mare to look forward to and she has already been a wonderful horse this season finishing second on her seasonal re appearance and then recording back to back wins. I am surprised that there are still shares available in her, a few shares remain available and more information here.

Black Narcissus was my eleventh winner over jumps this season and I have now equalled my total from last season. It is always satisfying to equal or improve your statistics season on season and the next aim is winner number twelve!!

Looking ahead it’s likely my next runners will be at Taunton next Wednesday. I had made several entries at Ffos Las and Wincanton but with those meetings now abandoned I will find alternative races for those entered. I have made entries for Entry To Evrywhere, Guaracha, Slidecheck, Lough Derg Island and Tactical Manoeuvre. I’ll post in my next update which ones are likely to run once I have studied the races and spoken with the owners.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Taunton racecourse. I thought there was an imbalance in their racing programme for chasers rated 0-100 through the season, and they have listened to my concerns and invited me along to discuss them with the powers that be. It reflects great credit on the racecourse that they are willing to do that, and at least give us a hearing before they decide what course of action to take. No programme book will ever be perfect, but the BHA are trying with their interactive race initiative, amongst other things, and I find there are opportunities around if you look hard enough for them.

Alex.
