We have just had our annual owners open day which was a day to remember. Myself and the staff had spent weeks getting our yard looking smart and tidy and everything was in place and ready to go for out guests until Hurricane Bertha came along and left her imprint on the day.
Despite our best efforts our marquee was unable to withstand the strong winds and blew away; even though the boys in the yard trying to anchor it down. After a few minutes of panicking we went to Plan B and relocated inside to our newly designed owners room. We bought all the tables and chairs in from the marquee and filled the place with drinks and nibbles and we nicely sheltered from the wind and our new owners room is already proving to be a sound investment.
Everybody who attended had a great time and they got to see all the horses in the yard. We had some of the old faces like Arrayan and Helium and plenty of new horses to show off as well. For those who were not at the Open Day I am planning to do a brief stable tour on my website in the next few weeks.
